Senior Account Technology Specialist

><br>The Central Distribution and Services team has an immediate opening for a
Senior Account Technology Strategist (ATS) in Mississauga, Ontario. The ATS
will work with both business and technical decision makers in a pre-sales
capacity. The ATS will serve as a key player on the actual and virtual account
teams; responsible for enhancing the technical relationships with assigned
accounts, product teams, Solution Specialists, Microsoft Consulting, Premier
Support, as well as key partners. The ATS contributes and compliments the
account team, leveraging a broad knowledge of Microsoft products, solutions,
and services to help develop and lead long-term technology strategy and plans.
The ATS invests in understanding a customer’s strategic business initiatives,
strategic planning process, and provides advice, feedback and recommendations
for technology solutions for identified business problems. The ATS will assist
in closing identified sales opportunities, developing technical strategies,
delivering presentations, and managing internal and external relationships to
meet and exceed revenue forecasts. The ATS will also provide active leadership
on the account team and serve as a technical escalation point for other team
members. Working closely with Account Manager, the ATS will be responsible for
the account planning and support necessary to achieve the Team’s revenue and
commitment goals.

><br>Responsibilities include:

><br> Understand the current and future technical challenges for assigned
customers, and based on that understanding, formulate and execute an
overarching technical strategy with specific and detailed tactics to
evangelize Microsoft’s products and technologies leading to customer-specific
solutions.

> Understand Microsoft and competitive technologies and strategy and formulate
plans to address competitors’ sales efforts<br> Create, identify, and manage,
sales opportunities of Microsoft solutions to CXO-level and technical
architect level customers. Integrate and plan for partners, Microsoft
Consulting, Microsoft Premier Support into efforts to ensure successful
transition from pre-sales to deployment.

> Coordinate and support the efforts and sales of solution offerings relevant
to the business in assigned customers with other Microsoft and partner
personnel, and leverage their respective activities.<br> Build and maintain
technical relationships between Microsoft and key technical personnel within
assigned accounts and Microsoft partners, and use your technical knowledge and
skills to influence these decision makers.

> Provide support on sales calls, Executive Strategy Briefings, Executive
Business Reviews, Executive Briefing Center visits and other account related
activities by the account team executives.<br> Identify customer requirements
and counsel account executives and management regarding how to best approach
opportunities.

> Positively impact partner and customer satisfaction.<br>

>Skills and Qualifications:<br>

>Ideal candidate’s expertise should include broad andor in-depth knowledge of
Microsoft products, as well as experience and knowledge of competitive
technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation and
communication skills with demonstrated ability working at executive levels to
map IT to business initiatives. The ideal candidate will have previous IT
infrastructure experience in a manufacturing company. The successful candidate
must be able to articulate the business value of our solutions and products
and position them in competitive scenarios.

>A good knowledge of the people and industry challenges faced in the
Distribution and Services (Retail, Hospitality, Professional Services) market
would be an asset.<br>A BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related
technical discipline with 10+ years experience
