>Director Education - Public Sector Group

>The role:

>The Education team is responsible for ensuring Microsoft's success in
approaching education as "One Microsoft" executing coordinated plans,
exceeding Microsoft’s customer expectations and delivering against the goals
of transforming education and fostering local innovation.

>This role is part of the subsidiary’s leadership team and will be responsible
for strategic leadership, management and execution of Microsofts plans and
programs in education across the subsidiary including "dotted line"
responsibility for Education Alliance v-team stakeholders. The Director of
Education will be the internal leader and external face of Microsoft's plan to
help transform education and execute on its vision of expanding the power of
education for all through personalized learning.

>Responsibilities:

>The Education Director is the owner of the education strategy and it’s
execution within the subsidiary. This role supports the Public Sector leader
and subsidiary General Manager to execute on Microsoft’s vision within the
country with education as core element.

>Achieve share growth across all 4 audiences as primary sales resource while
meeting both share and revenue (Enterprise Partner Group & Small Medium Sized
Solutions & Partner divisions) targets inc creatingleveraging a partner eco-
system of Authorized Education Resellers and Solution Provider Partners to act
as virtual sales force.

> Establish and lead the Subsidiary Microsoft Education Alliance Team and
co-ordinate inter team dependencies across the subsidiary for those teams
focused on all 4 Education Audiences including building Service Level
Agreement for additional resource support by appropriate MS internal teams

> Execution and orchestration of all Audience campaigns and initiatives.

> Ensure successful execution of Partners In Learning Memorandum of
understanding commitments.

> Represent the subsidiary as Education Industry spokesperson for all
internal and external stakeholders.

> Drive compete strategy in Education.

> Specific Responsibilities:

> Leadership and management of a high performing education team (including
virtual stakeholders) ensuring that the Education scorecard is green.

> Winning share while growing revenue in responsible way. Becoming the
“primary” trusted advisor and subject matter industry leader thus driving
preferred brand perception.

> Field execution as one Microsoft Education Alliance team across all business
divisions. Ensuring that rich Partner ecosystem is in place to support
share goals.

> Identification of market trends and technology requirements that helps
ensure Microsoft is viewed as a trusted advisor to Education audience. 
Ensures Microsoft product teams are building the right solutions and products
for market needs.

> Fiscal Accountability - efficient management of budget. Geographical
coverage is contained to the Canadian subsidiary.

> Leveraging the appropriate programs, campaigns & resources created at Area &
Corp HQ.

>There will be a team of 11 (including Education Director) responsible for
Education. There will also be "dotted line" responsibilities with other
members of the Subsidiary Microsoft Education Alliance Leadership Team.

> Qualifications:

> Bachelor’s Degree (B.S/B.A.)

> MBA is an asset 10+ years or directly related experience

> Leadership and Management experience Experience in leading virtual teams
is highly desirable.

> Strong communication skills Excellent presentation skills
